Janet Tate-Brown is a Family Nurse Practitioner whose background is in emergency room nursing. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she worked in the emergency room for 12 years and on a telemetry unit for one year. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she has worked in primary care and also worked in a hospital Observation Unit. She has worked primarily in a clinical setting as a healthcare provider since 2013. Janet graduated with honors from Rutgers University School in New Jersey where she received her Bachelor’s in Science of Nursing. Continuing her education, she attended The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), where she graduated with honors and received a Master of Nursing Practice. While working as a Primary care provider in a busy clinic, Janet furthered her interest in nursing and graduated from Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation at Arizona State University with a Doctor of Nursing Practice. Janet is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. ​ Janet loves to find ways to help her patients improve their health using natural and lifestyle changes before prescribing medication. She is passionate about teaching people ways to prevent disease and optimize health. ​ Janet loves to travel, learning new languages, and spending time with her husband, twin daughters, and son.
